The CEO of Volvo Construction Equipment in Eskilstuna and Hallsberg (Sweden), Ivan Obrovac, will lecture a conference about business management and leadership next Wednesday 5th of Juneat 18.30 in ADEIT, as part of the University of Valencia’s Business Culture Chair activities.
In particular, Obrovac, which was recognized as best manager in 2012 in Sweden, will present, during his speech, the leadership styles that contribute to the efficiency and well functioning of the production process, with special attention to people. In order to do this, he will focus on the Volvo experience in Lean Management or Lean Production, a production strategy that contributes to achieving a better business competitiveness and enables to eliminate losses in time, capital and equipment.
The conference, given in English, will be presented by Jose Mª Peiró, Social Psychology Professor of the University of Valencia and director of the Research Institute in Human Resources Psychology (IDOCAL). According to Jose Mª Peiro, this talk will address some of the most important challenges that business face today such as the strong market competition and permanent change in the economic-financial, demographic and social environment, among others.
